Planning a Quick or Small Wedding
There are a lot of things to do that you can't even
imagine when planning a quick wedding. Given the fact that a wedding is such an
important event in people's lives, everyone wants this moment to be perfect.
But in order to achieve this, they should understand that there are a lot of
things that they must pay attention to.
Generally a wedding must be
planned months before the date and it requires a lot of effort and attention to
detail so that nothing is forgotten. The couple should ask the help of the
family and of friends, and of all those who have lived such an experience. This
way they can find out everything that planning a wedding consists of.
However there are situations when a wedding must be prepared very
quickly. Planning a quick wedding is indeed a challenge but there are
solutions.
No matter how quick it needs to be planned, it is still a
wedding and the couple needs to decide mainly upon four things: date, location,
budget and guests. Taking into account these four factors they can choose from
one of the following solutions when planning a quick
wedding.
Planning a Quick Wedding on a Budget When it comes
to the organization of a wedding the budget is very important. If you are on a
low budget then you should plan to do everything yourself and not ask for the
help of those who charge for their services. You should rather look to your
friends and family.
A low budget means small wedding and thus you can
tick one problem from your wedding list. You can handwrite your invitations on
stationary or even call all your guests so you don't have to wait on printed
invitations from the printers.
Planning a quick wedding will mean not
ordering the wedding dress, the groom's suit and the bridesmaid's dresses.
Rather, they will need to be purchased from existing inventory. an issue.
You'll also need to use flowers that are in season as they will be cheaper and
also readily available. It will be easier and less expensive to call a DJ for
your music and not a band that may not be available. As far as food is
concerned, try some catering services.
Planning a Small
Wedding Planning a small wedding can be so much more intimate than
having a large one. You will have more time with your family and friends and
most likely a lot less stress. You'll have more time and energy to concentrate
on the little things; the things that really matter.
A small wedding for
just a few close friends and family will mean you have more options on some of
the details than you do with a large affair. For example, you have a lot more
leeway where food is concerned. Depending on your budget, you can have hors
d'ourves, set up a buffet, or have it catered with waiters all decked out. If
your guest list is truly small, you may even opt for a nice
restaurant.
By not going overboard and planning a small wedding, you can
spend money where it really does count. No one will remember what they had to
eat or drink, but photos and videos last forever. You want to look your best in
your wedding gown and you want that captured on film.
You have an
opportunity to involve your guests more when you're planning a small wedding.
One couple had each of the guests sign and write a small sentiment on a
tablecloth. Over the years the wife embroidered those sentiments onto a
tablecloth and today it is a cherished piece that will pass on to their
daughter.
Small intimate weddings somehow seem more personal than the
large social affairs some choose to have. There's no right or wrong answer here
but when you are planning a small wedding, you have more choices as to where to
hold the wedding. You may choose to have it in your home or in the home of a
relative or friend. You may also consider a garden wedding. You could rent a
gazebo and have the wedding guests stand all around you as you exchange your
vows.
Wedding Planners When planning a quick wedding the
easiest solution is to ask the help of a wedding planner who takes care of
everything from the announcements to the honeymoon arrangement. This is a
solution for those who can afford it and is the best one when time is a
problem. Professional wedding planners know everything about such events and it
is unlikely for them to overlook important details because of a lack of time.
