Christmas Wedding Favours

Having a seasonal wedding? Then
read on to help you choose those all-important Christmas Wedding Favours.
Getting married in the winter is such a fabulous time of
year to wed your beloved. Its the season thats full of romance, warmth, cuddles
by the fire, winter walks, crispy leaves and of course, the run up to
Christmas.
Everyone associates Christmas with love so getting married
at this time of year is the epitome of romance. Just imagine all those guests
turning up at the stone-clad church on a cold and crisp afternoon, leaves
crunching underfoot! Just imagine the cosiness of wedding car as the 2 newly
weds head for the reception! And, just imagine the alluring candlelit glow
oozing from the windows of the reception venue as arrive!
Many brides who marry at Christmastime have a lifelong
fascination with Christmas. It reminds them of happy times and families all
being together - something that they wish to recreate throughout their own
married lives. Some also opt for this time of year as it marks the anniversary
of when the bride met her groom. Whatever your reason for getting married at
Christmas, let the occasion by filled with joy!
So, how can you make your reception tables look
Christmassy? Well, the key is use seasonal flowers as centrepieces and go for
Christmas Wedding Favours. Table linen should be crisp and white, place
settings adorned with gold and silver and plenty of red! Grand Prix roses mixed
with Poinsettia, Holly and Ivy are generally the best choices. Gold-sprayed
foliage and pinecones can be interspersed with the flowers. You could also
scatter tables with red rose petals and gold Merry Christmas scatters. When it
comes to the Christmas Wedding Favours, think crackers, winter themed
personalised mint tins and gold favour boxes finished with seasonal ribbon.
There is so much choice and there is no reason why it needs to look tacky. For
the children, you could give them favour boxes filled with gold confectionery
or why not go for a Father Christmas shaped favour box? If you are looking to
keep it more toned down, why dont you go for plush organza bags in silver or
blue, filled with silver confectionery and scatter the tables with blue petals
interspersed with scatter snowflake shaped foil confetti. This would give the
wedding a cool wintry theme if you wanted to stay away from gold.
Remember, the wedding favours should always tie your other
ideas in together so that reception tables look orderly and together. So, if
the bridesmaid dresses are in silver and the waistcoats are in navy, go for
silver wedding favour boxes trimmed with navy ribbon. Whatever you choose,
ensure your colours are well thought out and provided you dont have too many
different ideas running at once, your wedding reception tables are guaranteed
to look merry and bright!
